Job summary

Coterie Senior Living - Hudson Yards in New York City is seeking a Memory Care Assistant to support residents with dementia in our Memory Care neighborhood. The role emphasizes person-centered care, daily living assistance, and engagement activities.

You will work with the Wellness Director and Memory Care Director, set up meals, assist with ADLs, and help maintain a clean, safe environment. A high school diploma and 1 year of related experience are required; vaccination records must be provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year experience caring for individuals with dementia or cognitive impairment.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Attend to care needs of Memory Care residents.
• Set-up tables and serve meals in the dining room.
• Serve residents snacks and beverages daily, including those in rooms.
• Assist with light housekeeping in common areas and daily resident apartments.
• Support daily programming and resident engagement activities.
• Communicate changes in resident needs to theMemory Care Director.
• May drive the company vehicle if required by the community.
