Job summary

Benevolent Hearts Home Care is seeking compassionate caregivers to support seniors with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. The role focuses on building positive interactions through specialized dementia training in the home care setting.

Daytime and overnight shifts are available, with additional pay differentials for high-acuity cases. We value reliability, a driver’s license, and a commitment to safety and respectful, person-centered care.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of professional caregiving experience with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license with current auto insurance.
• Ability to pass a background screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one care for seniors living with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal care.
• Use dementia-friendly communication approaches such as redirection and validation.
• Support clients experiencing cognitive and behavioral changes.
• Create meaningful engagement and companionship.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding when needed.
• Monitor changes in condition and communicate concerns to the care team.
• Follow individualized care plans and safety protocols.
