Job summary

Avamere at Rio Rancho is seeking a Server for memory care, assisted living, and independent living residents. You will take orders, serve meals and beverages, and ensure a clean, welcoming dining environment throughout the service.

You will interact with residents and guests professionally, provide attentive service, and follow all safety and dietary guidelines while collaborating with kitchen staff to maintain smooth meal service.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of high standards of food service sanitation and safety.
• Maintain high personal hygiene while working, including hair tied back.
• Interpersonal skills to establish effective relationships with residents and staff.
• Ability to learn to operate kitchen equipment after training.
• Must obtain/maintain CPR/First Aid Certification during employment.
• Requires current Food Handlers card issued by local Health Department.
• Knowledge of dietary practices and regulations in hospital/nursing home settings.
• Friendly, attentive, and professional demeanor with residents and guests.

Responsibilities

• Accurately recording and delivering meal and beverage orders from residents.
• Promptly and courteously delivering food and beverages to residents, ensuring attractive presentation.
• Providing attentive and friendly service, checking on residents' needs during meals.
• Assisting with setting up the dining room before meals and maintaining cleanliness.
• Clearing tables after meals and resetting them for the next service.
• Taking and delivering room service orders to residents' apartments.
• Being familiar with the menu and resident dietary needs.
