Job summary

Peregrine Senior Living in Cheektowaga, NY is seeking an energetic Resident Care Aide to support memory care residents with daily living activities, maintain dignity, and promote independence while ensuring rights and safety are observed.

This role requires compassionate individuals with a high school diploma (GED acceptable) and CNA/HHA/PCA certification welcome but not required; one year of caregiving experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• CNA/HHA/PCA certification welcome but not required.
• One year caregiving experience preferred.
• Compassion for and a genuine desire to work with older adults.

Responsibilities

• Assist memory care residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, and dressing while maintaining dignity and promoting independence.
• Ensure compliance with regulations regarding residents' rights.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of resident care.
• Report changes in a resident's condition to the supervisor, including illness signs and medication concerns.
• Encourage residents to participate in community activities.
