Senior Living Residences is seeking a Memory Care Programming Assistant (Therapeutic Programming) at Anchor Bay Pocasset in Johnston, RI to support the Program Director in creating and implementing engaging activities for our residents.

This full-time role offers hourly pay of $17-$18 with comprehensive benefits starting on day one, including health, dental, vision, and retirement plans, plus opportunities for professional development and certification in dementia care.

Qualifications

• Experience working with elderly and/or Alzheimer's populations is preferred.
• Physical requirements include standing, sitting, bending, and transferring residents.
• Communication: ability to communicate effectively with residents and co-workers.
• Punctuality and reliability are essential as residents rely on staff for daily living activities.

Responsibilities

• Form meaningful relationships with residents and families.
• Help implement and coordinate the balanced daily programming schedule for 7 days per week.
• Support with coordination of entertainment including guest lecturers, musicians, and fitness instructors.
• Participate in scheduled outings, ensuring safety of residents on transportation and off-site.
• Support with developing monthly newsletter, taking photos, and updating social media.
