Job summary

Brookdale West Melbourne is seeking a Memory Care Program Manager to lead dementia-focused programming in a resident-centered approach. You will supervise caregivers, align activities with each resident's history and preferences, and ensure compassionate, consistent execution of care plans.

In this hands-on leadership role, you will design engaging programs, mentor staff, and partner with leadership to integrate dementia care across all aspects of daily living and activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in gerontology, therapeutic recreation or related field with minimum three years of management/direct supervision experience.
• Experience with residents with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias in a residential setting is required.
• Proven ability to lead and coach a team to deliver person-centered programming and care.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full implementation of resident and family engagement's dementia care program and coach associates delivering programming, dining, and care.
• Collaborate with leadership to provide dementia training, move-in/move-out processes, hiring, and education on dementia care.
• Plan and coordinate a calendar of dementia-friendly programs meeting each resident's needs.

Base pay in range will be determined by applicant's skills and experience. Temporary associates are not benefits eligible but may participate in the company's 401(k) program.

• You will oversee full implementation of resident and family engagement's overall dementia care program as well as directly providing coaching and leadership of associates who are caregivers within the community. This includes providing oversight to ensure Care Associates deliver person centered programming, dining, and care.
• Collaborate with leadership team providing dementia training, preadmission/move-in/move out process of residents, hiring, and education of associates regarding dementia care including how to lead programs and interventions for behavioral expression. You will plan and directly coordinate a calendar of dementia friendly programs that meet the specific needs of each and all residents within the dementia care community.
• A Bachelor's Degree such as gerontology, therapeutic recreation or related field with a minimum of three years of management and direct supervision experience preferred. Experience with residents with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias in a residential setting is required.
