In alignment with Brookdale’s Resident and Family Engagement philosophy, plan and facilitate person-centered dementia-friendly programs tailored to residents' needs, interests, and abilities. Develop monthly calendars, ensure compliance with standards and regulations, educate families and staff about dementia, oversee program assistants, and participate in community events. Maintain resident health updates, manage social media content, and handle programming logistics, including outside activities and budget adherence. Provide personal care and support as needed.
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in therapeutic recreation, gerontology, education, or related field preferred; minimum two years of experience with older adults and dementia preferred.
Licenses and Certifications: Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and possibly a commercial license based on community needs.
Use limited independent judgment, solve problems with standard procedures, and know when to escalate issues. Basic PC skills required. Salary range: $15.32 - $19.14/hour. Full-time benefits eligibility, with some benefits for part-time roles. Veterans and military spouses are encouraged to apply, with additional support for naturalization costs.
