Job summary

Assisting Hands Littleton is seeking a compassionate caregiver to support a client living with memory loss. This weekday role runs Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM–8:00 PM, in-home care focused on safety, comfort, and independence.

You will provide personal care, companionship, memory care support, meals, and help with routines while building a trusted relationship with the client and their family.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of caregiving experience in a facility or with an in-home care agency.
• Experience caring for someone with Alzheimer's, dementia, or memory-related condition.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance.
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Three professional references
• TB test within 30 days of hire
• Excellent communication skills
• A patient, compassionate personality and a genuine heart for older adults
• Comfortable working in a home with cats.

Responsibilities

• Help client feel safe, supported, and respected while encouraging independence.
• Provide personal care and assistance with daily routines.
• Offer companionship and meaningful conversation.
• Support memory care with patience, reassurance, and gentle redirection.
• Assist with meals, snacks, and afternoon/evening routines.
• Encourage engagement and maintain a safe home environment.
• Be a reassuring presence for client and family.
