Qualifications

• Previous caregiving or healthcare experience.

• Use electronic devices and software provided.
• Understand basic healthcare principles, safety and infection control.
• Awareness of common health issues in older adults.
• Ability to assist residents with mobility and daily activities.
• Maintain accurate records and observations.
• Remain calm, compassionate, and patient in challenging situations.
• Strong problem-solving and multitasking skills.
• Commitment to ongoing education and training.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized assistance and support tailored to memory impairments.
• Assist with grooming, meals, mobility, and daily activities per care plan.
• Monitor health changes and report incidents to Health Services Director.
• Maintain resident documentation and update charts as needed.
• Create a safe, structured environment to minimize confusion.
• Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship.
• Communicate hazards and equipment issues to supervisors as required.
• Support Montessori Approach when applicable and coordinate with leadership.
