Job summary

Spectrum Retirement Communities in Cedar Park, TX, is seeking a full-time Manager to oversee dementia care and lead a care team in a resident-centered setting. Responsibilities include staffing, training, supervision, and coordinating admission and care planning with the multidisciplinary team.

The role may require weekend coverage and involves collaborating with physicians to adjust care plans, reduce falls, and ensure compliance with state requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing, Social Work, Psychology, or Gerontology preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years of management experience in directing/providing dementia care for seniors.
• Experience with resident assessment and non-pharmacologic approaches to meeting resident needs.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment, selection, training, supervision, and staffing of team members.
• Implementing resident-centered dementia care.
• Discussing changes in resident condition with physicians; introduce interventions to reduce falls; provide medication administration and assist with resident care as needed.
• In conjunction with the multidisciplinary team, coordinate resident admission including screening, assessment and care planning.
• Occasionally fill in on weekends as Manager-On-Duty.
