Job summary

Westminster Oaks in Florida is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to support resident care in a skilled nursing setting. You will assess resident needs, plan and implement care per physician orders, and monitor vital signs while ensuring timely medication administration.

CPR certification is required, and prior Med-Surg or Home Health experience is desirable. Experience with handicapped or developmentally disabled adults is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active LPN license in Florida.
• CPR certification required.
• Experience in long term care desirable.
• Med-Surg or Home Health experience helpful.
• Experience with handicapped or developmentally disabled adults preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with evaluating residents needs.
• Assist with planning resident care based on MD orders.
• Implement resident care based on MD orders and communicate updates to MD.
• Ensure residents receive medications on time per MD orders.
• Monitor vital signs including blood glucose, temperature, and BP.
• Assist with Daily Living Activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, transfer, ambulation, toileting).
• Ensure CNAs follow MD orders.
