Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Reminiscence Coordinator to lead the memory care neighborhood and ensure compassionate, individualized care for residents with dementia. You will champion Sunrise’s Resident-Centered Care model and support families through education and engagement activities.

• Experience in memory care or geriatrics preferred.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards in senior care.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of the reminiscence neighborhood in compliance with regulations and Sunrise standards.
• Champion the designated care manager model and Life Skills programming.
• Develop and facilitate dementia-appropriate activities that create purposeful, pleasant days.
• Partner with clinical leadership to ensure ISPs, safety, hydration and care needs are met.
• Support families through meetings, education and monthly support groups.
• Monitor quality indicators including weight management, behaviors and medication oversight.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, training and performance management.
• Oversee department budget and financial performance.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and risk management standards.
