Job summary

Terralume Signature Memory Care in Minnetonka, MN is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. This part-time role requires 48 hours every two weeks, with schedules on Mon/Wed/Fri 7:00am-3:30pm or Mon-Thu 7:00am-1:30pm; there are no weekends.

You will clean resident and common areas, follow safety protocols, and report needs while adhering to the facility's standards and timelines.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of experience in housekeeping or related role.
• Ability to utilize software programs to complete work functions.

Responsibilities

• Cleans resident and common areas of the community as assigned.
• Performs thorough cleaning of all assigned areas, including vacuums carpets, sweeps and mops hard floor surfaces, dusts and/or damp wipes surfaces, sanitizes bathrooms, cleans all glass windows/mirrors.
• Prioritizes tasks and completes within allotted time.
• Assists in cleaning emergency spills as needed.
• Assumes other responsibilities as assigned.
• Follows cleaning schedule and instructions regarding specifications of resident’s individualized housekeeping needs.
• Performs job duties safely, using correct body mechanics and personal protective equipment.
• Safely mixes chemicals according to instructions provided by the manufacturer
• Consistently follows safe body mechanics
• Demonstrates precautionary work practices for the safety of others in the work areas, such as electric cords, wet floor signs, etc.
• Completes all OSHA training modules in a timely manner.
• Maintains cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Maintains housekeeping cart and storage area on daily basis.
• Safeguards others’ well-being by keeping chemicals and other hazardous materials locked when not in active use.
• Communicates supplies that need to be re-stocked.
• Communicates need for equipment repairs.
• Adheres to all Lockout/Tagout requirements per policy.Assists with light maintenance tasks as needed.
• Participates actively in team meetings, reports on current state in the Community, providing feedback on housekeeping-related items as they arise.
