Cedar Trails Senior Living in Freeburg, IL is hiring a Memory Care Homemaker for a full-time role. You will maintain a homelike atmosphere, assist in family-style dining, and support residents with daily activities and hydration.

The position requires standing and lifting up to 50 pounds, with a schedule of 7:00am–3:00pm Monday to Thursday and Sunday. Cedar Trails offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Professional in appearance and conduct.
• English literacy at 8th grade level or higher with Residents.
• Positive and energetic attitude toward Residents.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel and stoop all day.
• Ability to frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds.
• Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

• Keeper of the Home: create a warm, tidy, homelike atmosphere in memory care.
• Mealtime Maven: assist dining, set tables, serve and clean up as a family.
• Snack Specialist: ensure residents have snacks and hydration three times daily.

Position—Memory Care Homemaker

Position Type: Full-Time

Location: Freeburg, IL

Memory Care Homemaker pay range: $18 - $21 per hour

Shift Schedule—

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday

7:00am to 3:00pm

We are looking for someone (like you)

• Be a Keeper of the Home. Be responsible for creating an atmosphere in memory care that is inviting, comfortable, homelike, and tidy in all apartments and common area spaces.
• Be a Mealtime Maven. Be present in the dining room to prepare and serve family-style dining, guiding the residents to be a part of their own experience by setting the tables and cleaning up together after as a family.
• Be a Snack Specialist. Be responsible to ensure all residents are guided to snacks and hydration three times a day.
• Be a Caring Connector. Be extra hands in the Neighborhood to engage residents and provide meaningful experiences.

What are we looking for?

• You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• You shall have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• You shall be professional in appearance and conduct.
• You can read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency with our Residents!
• You will have a positive and energetic attitude who will LOVE our Residents!
• You must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
• You must have the ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
• You must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
• You must be criminally cleared.
