Job summary

Episcopal Homes of Minnesota’s The Willows of Ramsey Hill in St. Paul is hiring an On-call Home Health Aide to join our Nursing team.

You will provide compassionate personal care, assist with daily living activities, and support residents’ comfort, safety, and quality of life. Responsibilities include dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, mobility support, medication reminders as delegated by an RN, and helping with meals as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand basic English.
• Commitment to working every other weekend and scheduled holidays (Full-Time/Part-Time/Casual positions).
• Preferred: CNA, HHA, or PCA certification with the State of Minnesota.
• Experience working with older adults in hospital, nursing home, or home care setting.
• Previous medication administration experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care: dressing, grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, and applying lotions.
• Provide toileting assistance and incontinence care.
• Support ambulation, transfers, and repositioning using assistive devices and safe body mechanics.
• Offer assistance with hearing aids, glasses, and sensory devices.
• Provide medication reminders, assistance, or administration as delegated by an RN.
• Assist with blood glucose monitoring and insulin injections (delegated by RN).
• Prepare meals per dietary plans and provide feeding support when needed.
• Record and report vital signs and resident concerns promptly.
• Provide companionship and engage residents in meaningful activities.
• Use dementia care techniques including validation and redirection.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by RNs or licensed therapists.
• Maintain household cleanliness and organize supplies.
