Job summary

Carefree Living in Saint Cloud is seeking a Director of Health Services to lead the clinical operations for the Memory Care and Assisted Living campuses. The role emphasizes compassionate, resident-centered care and regulatory compliance.

You will oversee nursing staff, implement the nursing process, coordinate admissions, budgeting, and safety programs, and build partnerships with families and community providers.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure with assisted living housing experience preferred.
• CPR/BLS required.
• Passion for working with seniors and delivering excellent care and customer service.
• Strong leadership, observation, verbal and written communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with computer systems, Internet, and Microsoft Office.
• Valid Driver's License in good standing with ability to travel to other locations.
• Ability to meet physical requirements and pass DHS background study.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical and departmental functions of the memory care and assisted living communities.
• Ensure quality of care and regulatory compliance through oversight of nursing staff.
• Implement the nursing process: assessment, planning, diagnosis, goals, implementation, evaluation.
• Meet with clients and families to complete admission paperwork and explain care plans.
• Monitor funding sources for prior authorizations and billing; assist with collections as needed.
• Supervise and coordinate documentation of client and staff information.
• Delegate nursing functions per licensure and agency policies; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and safety programs.
• Support marketing efforts to maintain census growth and financial stability.
• Build referral relationships with county social workers and hospital discharge planners.
• Participate in annual clinical budgeting and revenue growth strategies.
• Monitor budget expenditures with nursing personnel.
