Job summary

The Arbors of Shelburne, part of Benchmark Senior Living, seeks a Mind & Memory Care Director to oversee the memory care program, recruit and train staff, and manage services for residents with cognitive impairment. This role emphasizes enhancement of resident, family, and staff well-being.

The position requires strong supervisory and leadership skills, a BA/BS in a health-related field, and memory care experience, with a 4-5 day weekly schedule. Benefits are included.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in a health science related field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years memory care experience.
• Within the first year of hire date MMD will complete Benchmark University Faculty Training to facilitate Compass and Dementia Live.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision, coaching, recognition, engagement and performance evaluations on all Harbor Resident Care Associates.
• Maintain an engaging, homelike environment with opportunities to touch, collect or enjoy interesting items.
• Support and monitor day-to-day delivery of quality resident services for high satisfaction.
• Schedule all staff for 24/7 delivery of services with Memory Care Program while monitoring labor hours to budget.
• Collaborate with Resident Care Director (RN) to ensure services align with the resident service plan.
