Complete Care in Westfield, NJ seeks a compassionate Memory Care Director (Full Time) to lead and inspire a dedicated team serving residents with Alzheimer’s, dementia and memory-related challenges. You will oversee staff, budgeting, and program development to ensure a safe, engaging environment.

This role emphasizes strong communication with residents’ families, ongoing staff training, and partnership with activities and community resources to enhance occupancy and quality of life for residents.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in assisted living or skilled nursing.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 2 years supervisor experience in memory care or SNF.
• Strong problem-solving and leadership abilities.
• Excellent communication skills with residents, families, and staff.
• Bilingual is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and supervise memory care staff with proper staffing and backup coverage.
• Oversee budgeting for on-site services, marketing, and other needs.
• Develop, implement, and update a dynamic memory care program tailored to residents’ needs.
• Represent Complete Care positively while growing occupancy through community connections.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives, planning, and safety programs for a secure environment.
• Review and address incident reports with follow-up improvements.
• Foster open communication with residents’ families and care teams.
• Provide dementia care education for staff and families.
• Partner with activities staff to encourage meaningful resident engagement.
• Plan programs meeting mental, physical, spiritual, and social needs, incl. partnerships with local organizations.
• Participate in ongoing dementia training with the care team.

Responsibilities of the Memory Care Director:

• Hire, train, and supervise memory care staff while ensuring proper staffing and backup coverage at all times.
• Oversee departmental budgeting for on-site services, marketing, and other needs.
• Develop, implement, and continuously update a dynamic memory care program tailored to our residents’ needs.
• Represent Complete Care at Westfield positively while building strong connections with potential residents, families, and healthcare professionals to grow community occupancy.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives, strategic planning, and environmental safety programs to ensure a secure environment for residents, staff, and guests.
• Review and address incident/accident reports with follow-up improvements.
• Foster open and compassionate communication with residents’ families and care teams, keeping them engaged as part of the extended care family.
• Provide education for staff and families about dementia care and best practices.
• Partner closely with activities staff to encourage meaningful resident engagement.
• Plan and direct programs that meet the mental, physical, spiritual, and social needs of residents, including partnerships with local community organizations.
• Participate in ongoing dementia training alongside the care team to ensure the highest level of service.

Requirements & Qualifications:
