TerraBella communities together account for more than 2200 units and span a full spectrum of senior living and care options, including Active Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, and short-term Respite Care.

TerraBella is hiring a Memory Care Coordinator for our community Capstone at Station Camp.

This position is responsible for program development and implementation within the Memory Care Program. The coordinator provides physical and emotional support to Memory Care residents while maintaining a safe, home-like environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design, schedule, and facilitate Memory Care programs incorporating Life Skills and dementia-appropriate activities.
  2. Partner with the Memory Care Director to ensure a variety of activities are available throughout the day and evening, with Care Managers actively involved.
  3. Assist the Memory Care Director in creating and executing a comprehensive activities program tailored to residents' interests and capabilities.
  4. Provide ongoing in-service education to staff related to disease processes and the population served.
  5. Review residents’ preferences and needs prior to move-in and educate Care Managers accordingly.
  6. Facilitate Service Plan and Daily Assignment Sheet development to ensure quality service, safety, hydration, and engagement.
  7. Serve as the community champion for Memory Care programming and activities.
  8. Collaborate with dining services to meet individual resident needs and participate in dining experiences.
  9. Monitor resident condition changes and report to nursing staff.
  10. Establish relationships with local Alzheimer’s organizations.
  11. Develop tailored programming for residents with Alzheimer’s or related Dementia diagnoses.
  12. Create a therapeutic environment emphasizing first impressions and resident engagement.

Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance

  1. Strive for excellent quality care and service.
  2. Develop and implement plans to address deficiencies and ensure regulatory compliance.
  3. Maintain knowledge of current laws, regulations, policies, and procedures affecting residents, ensuring adherence.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum one (1) year of dementia care experience.
  2. Minimum one (1) year in a leadership role.
