Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living in Hamden, CT, is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to deliver high-quality care in a warm, home-like environment. You will assist residents with daily living activities and communicate changes to the care team.

Responsibilities include engaging residents in activities, providing emotional support, and maintaining a respectful, patient-centered approach. Prior dementia experience is valued but not required.

Qualifications

• Valid CNA/HHA/LNA license required.
• Prior experience in a skilled nursing or assisted living community is preferred but not required.
• Previous experience with residents with dementia is desired.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting).
• Document care provided and report changes to staff.
• Engage residents in meaningful activities and provide emotional support.
• Utilize customer service skills to ensure residents receive compassionate care.
• Perform other duties as needed.
