Job summary

New-Mark Rehab and Healthcare Center in Missouri is seeking a Memory Care Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to join our compassionate memory care team. You will provide person-centered care to residents with dementia, support activities of daily living, and help create a safe, comfortable environment.

The ideal candidate holds MO CNA certification, has experience with memory care or dementia, and embraces a patient, team-oriented approach. Training and advancement await in a supportive facility.

Qualifications

• MO CNA certification currently required
• Memory care or dementia care experience preferred
• Compassionate, dependable, and patient-centered approach to resident care
• Completed COVID-19 vaccination or willingness to be vaccinated
• High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional, personalized care to residents while assisting with ADLs
• Support residents living with dementia or memory-related conditions
• Encourage socialization and participation in activities to support well-being
• Assist with personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, and daily care needs
• Create and maintain a safe, supportive, and structured environment
• Exercise patience and understanding with memory-loss-related behavior
• Distribute meal trays and document intake
• Assist residents with meals and hydration
• Make beds and keep spaces clean and organized
• Observe residents and report changes to the nursing staff
• Perform additional tasks to support daily care as needed

Position Details

• Position: Memory Care Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)

• Status: Full-Time

• Shift: 12-hour / 4:3 schedule - FLEXIBLE

CNA Job Requirements

• Current certification as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) in the state of Missouri

• Previous memory care or dementia care experience preferred

• Compassionate, dependable, and patient-centered approach to resident care

• Completed COVID-19 vaccination or willingness to receive vaccination

• High school diploma or equivalent

CNA Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional, personalized care to residents while assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs)

• Provide compassionate support to residents living with dementia and other memory-related conditions

• Encourage residents to socialize and participate in activities that support their emotional and overall well-being

• Assist residents with personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, and other daily care needs

• Create and maintain a safe, supportive, and structured environment where residents can thrive

• Use patience, compassion, and understanding when working with residents experiencing memory loss or changes in behavior

• Pass out meal trays and document food and fluid intake

• Assist residents with meals and encourage proper nutrition and hydration

• Make beds and maintain clean, organized, and comfortable resident spaces

• Observe residents and report changes in condition, behavior, or needs to the nursing staff

• Perform additional tasks as needed to support the daily care and well-being of our residents
