Job summary

Americare Senior Living is seeking a compassionate Certified Medication Aide (CMA) for our Memory Care community. You will administer prescribed medications and support residents with daily living activities in a home-like setting, under licensed supervision.

Join a team-focused environment focused on dignity, comfort, and safety, while documenting care, coordinating with nursing staff, and assisting with admissions and transfers as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Completion of a CMA program meeting state requirements.
• Active CMA certification in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications under supervision of licensed staff.
• Verify resident identity before medication administration and document dosing and observations.
• Monitor medication responses and report any adverse reactions promptly.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including hygiene, meals and mobility.
• Recognize and report changes in resident condition to charge staff.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to resident care and intake/output as ordered.
• Assist with admission, discharge and transfer documentation as required.
• Support coworkers with needed assistance and participate in care planning.
• Perform light housekeeping and help with tours or greeting visitors as requested.
