Memory Care Caregiver (Finance)

Provides dementia care including adapted ADLs, meaningful engagement, and communication to residents following a person-centered individual service plan. Treats residents with respect and dignity, recognizes individual needs, and encourages independence. Fosters a purposeful and engaging culture throughout the community.

1. Assists residents and provides input regarding the care plan and daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and attending programs and meals, in accordance with the individual service plan and interventions.
2. Partners with and encourages residents to be as independent as possible, promoting self-care skills.
3. Participates in team behavioral expression meetings or discussions with community leadership.
4. Knows residents' life stories, preferences, routines, and interests.
5. Serves meals in the dining room, may assist in meal preparation following dementia-friendly menus, and encourages proper diet and fluid intake while respecting residents' rights to free choice.
6. Records and reports changes in residents' eating habits to the supervisor.
7. Leads or initiates at least one daily engagement program based on residents' interests and programs such as the Solace program or calendar.
8. Encourages socialization and participation in person-centered programs and supports friendships among residents.
9. Maintains residents' records daily, including documentation related to medication, engagement interests, incidents, observations, and health or behavioral changes.
10. Observes and reports residents' health and emotional condition, promptly notifying the supervisor of any changes.
11. Assists with medication administration as permitted by state regulations, following physician orders and medication policies.
12. Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly environment, performing general housekeeping and following cleaning schedules.
13. Responds promptly and appropriately to emergency situations and resident requests for assistance.
14. Monitors residents' locations and reports if a resident cannot be located.
15. Promotes teamwork and cooperative interactions with co-workers.

Salary ranges from $12.16 to $15.20 per hour, based on skills and experience. The role may include bonus opportunities. Benefits eligibility varies for full-time and temporary associates.
