Job summary

The 501 in Ambler, PA is seeking a compassionate Memory Care Associate for a part-time position. You will provide person-centered care to residents with dementia, assist with daily living activities, and support a safe, dignified living environment.

You will work with the Memory Care team to promote independence, safety, and meaningful engagement, following individualized care plans, documenting care, and communicating changes to supervisors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with older adults, dementia care, or related caregiving environment preferred.
• Must communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
• Must be compassionate, dependable, patient, and able to work well in a team.
• Must follow written and verbal instructions and accurately document resident care.
• Must complete all required background checks and onboarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, continence care, hygiene).
• Assist with mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation per care plan.
• Assist with meals and hydration, promoting independence where possible.
• Provide dementia-care approaches, redirection, reassurance, and positive engagement.
• Document resident care accurately and timely.
• Communicate changes in condition to Memory Care Director, nurse, or supervisor.
