Job summary

Sunny View Retirement Community in Cupertino, CA, is seeking a Memory Care Assistant for a Full-Time AM shift. You will provide resident care, assist with activities of daily living, and help protect and nurture residents in a supportive environment.

Summary

Under the direction of the Director of Health Services/charge nurse or designee, the Memory Care Assistant is responsible for providing a variety of services and resident care to protect, sustain and nurture residents by providing assistance with activities of daily living and meeting other needs as required.

Competencies and skills

Essential

• Knowledgeable in current State and Federal regulations
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
• Basic mathematical skills required
• Must be able to recognize emergency situations and respond appropriately
• Must be able to understand, follow, support and initiate policies and procedures

Education with Equivalent Qualifications

Essential

• High School diploma or GED

Experience with Equivalent Qualifications

Nonessential

• 0 Year with knowledge of State and Federal regulations
• 0 Year long term care, geriatric and/or rehabilitative nurse
