Job summary

Sunny View Retirement Community in Cupertino, CA is seeking a Memory Care Assistant for a full-time AM shift. Compensation is $22.56–$24.00 per hour with a 36+ hour work week.

Under the direction of the Director of Health Services, you will assist residents with activities of daily living and support their wellbeing. The role requires knowledge of regulations, English proficiency, basic math, and the ability to respond to emergencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of State and Federal regulations.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

Full-Time AM Shift

Summary:

Under the direction of the Director of Health Services/charge nurse or designee, the Memory Care Assistant is responsible for providing a variety of services and resident care to protect, sustain and nurture residents by providing assistance with activities of daily living and meeting other needs as required.

Competencies and skills

Essential

• Knowledgeable in current State and Federal regulations
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
• Basic mathematical skills required
• Must be able to recognize emergency situations and respond appropriately
• Must be able to understand, follow, support and initiate policies and procedures

Education with Equivalent Qualifications

Essential

• High School diploma or GED

Experience with Equivalent Qualifications

Nonessential

• 0 Year with knowledge of State and Federal regulations
• 0 Year long term care, geriatric and/or rehabilitative nurse
