Job summary

Silverado Frederick is seeking a Part Time Resident Engagement Assistant (AM) in Frederick, Maryland. You will help craft daily activity programs, lead memory enrichment activities, and support therapies to bring joy and engagement to residents living with dementia.

The role requires you to be energetic, compassionate, and collaborative with a strong focus on resident well‑being. Weekend availability is required, with a schedule from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM on some days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Effective communicator in verbal and written English.
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Comfortable around animals and pets.
• Willingness to work with individuals with Alzheimer’s/dementia.
• Previous experience with older adults or memory care preferred.
• Physical ability to perform walking, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist Director of Resident Engagement in planning and leading daily activity programs.
• Organize and facilitate memory enrichment activities for small groups.
• Encourage resident participation and celebrate achievements.
• Prepare materials and conduct research for recreational programs.
• Support music and occupational therapy sessions.
