Job summary

The Alden Network is seeking a Memory Care Aide to support a holistic, patient-centered dementia care program on the Memory Care Unit. You will help deliver evidenced-based activities and maintain high quality of life for residents with dementia.

Responsibilities include assisting with assessments, coordinating group and 1:1 activities, and partnering with families and staff to ensure compassionate care. A high school diploma and prior healthcare exposure are required.

Qualifications

• The candidate must demonstrate empathy, compassion, and effective interaction with residents and families.
• Strong communication skills for staff, families, and community members.
• Ability to work as part of a care team in a dementia-focused setting.
• Commitment to ongoing learning about dementia care and therapies.
• Demonstrated English reading, writing, and speaking proficiency.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to drive the Alden bus when needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing a therapeutic, person-centered memory care program for residents.
• Support memory care activities and group/1:1 programming to enhance quality of life.
• Participate in ongoing activity assessments and care planning.
• Document care activities and communicate resident needs to the team.
• Collaborate with family involvement, visits, and community outreach.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and non-hazardous unit for residents and staff.
• Adhere to state and federal regulations and facility policies.
