Job summary

Monarch Communities in Southbury, CT, seeks a part-time Memory Care Activities/Program Assistant to implement activities for residents in the Memory Care Neighborhood. The role focuses on engaging residents daily and requires 1–2 years of related experience.

The position reports to the Memory Care Director and offers hourly pay of $17.50–$18.00 with a flexible schedule. Responsibilities include planning, documentation, calendars, and adherence to regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience leading activities for elderly residents.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to drive the community vehicle for outings.
• High school diploma or higher education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing activities for residents.
• Create resident histories and profiles with family input.
• Set up and clean up daily activities.
• Create monthly social program calendars and share them.
• Keep residents engaged between planned activities.
• Drive the community vehicle for resident outings.
• Attend in-service training and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
