Job summary

Mustang Creek Estates in Sachse, TX is seeking a full-time Activities Assistant to support Memory Care residents through an engaging activity program. You will coordinate, implement, and adjust activities while assisting with meals and collaborating with staff to ensure safety, comfort and happiness for residents.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a balanced resident-centered activity program for the whole community.
• Facilitate Memory Care activities according to schedule and assessments.
• Attend at least 6 hours of continuing education annually on Alzheimer’s/related disorders.
• Assess, plan, and manage activities with team members and volunteers.
• Engage residents and recruit entertainers for events.
• Assist in lunch and dinner with residents and ensure safety during meals.
• Observe resident satisfaction and communicate with families and staff.
