American Senior Communities in Brownsburg, Indiana, is seeking a Memory Care Activities Assistant to enrich residents' lives with warmth, patience, and meaningful engagement. Day shift opportunities include part-time and full-time roles with every-other-weekend work.

You will plan age-appropriate activities, support cognitive and physical well-being, and collaborate with the care team to ensure residents feel seen, heard, and valued every day.

Qualifications

Memory Care Activity Assistant Opportunity at Brownsburg Meadows Assisted Living!

Day Shift - Part-time and Full-time

Every other weekend

The Memory Care Activity Assistant plays a vital and heartfelt role in enriching the lives of residents. With warmth, patience, and genuine care, they help create a joyful and engaging environment where seniors feel seen, heard, and valued.

Skills Needed

• Supportive Presence: Being able to truly connect with residents, understanding their emotional and social needs.


• Passion: A desire to work with those experiencing Alzheimer’s disease and other memory-related dementia assuring that each person lives every day to their maximum cognitive and physicalability.


• Teamwork: The ability to work towards a common goal of excellent care for our residents. Cooperating closely with the care team to support residents holistically.


• Time Management: Balancing daily schedules, multiple residents, and activity prep.


• Creativity: Create engaging, age-appropriate activities that suit different physical and cognitive abilities.

Requirements

• Demonstrates C.A.R.E. values to our residents, family members, customers and staff. Compassion, Accountability, RelationshipsandExcellence


• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


• Successful completion of a State approved Nursing Assistant training and competency evaluation program or a CNA competency evaluation program approved by the State. This training can also be provided by the community.
