Job summary

Majestic Care of North Vernon seeks a Memory Care Activities Assistant to support residents through personalized activity programs, including one-to-one and group sessions, and engaging events. You will organize monthly calendars and coordinate with the care team to enhance comfort and stimulation for residents.

The role prefers but does not require a high school diploma or equivalent, Activity Assistant Certification, and CNA certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Activity Assistant Certification preferred
• CNA certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Organize and participate in person-specific activity programming.
• Lead and participate in individual and group activities.
• Utilize a variety of models to achieve individualized programming such as pet therapy, music therapy, art therapy, etc.
• Assist with decorating the facility and preparing for special events and seasonal parties.
• Develop and post monthly calendar as a planning resource for residents and families.
• Participate in recreational programs for residents confined to their rooms.
• Promote volunteer efforts in the community.
• Maintain records of activities and attendance.

The Activities Assistant organizes and participates in person-specific activity programming, including one-to-one interventions, small group facilitation, and large group presentations.
