Job summary

Carriage Services seeks a Location Manager for Heritage Funeral Home - Weddington, NC to oversee memorial services, including preparation of the decedent, visitation, services, burials and cremations, while guiding families with care.

The role requires a Funeral Director license and 5+ years of management, with strong financial acumen, English fluency and MS Office proficiency. You will lead staff, manage budgets, and expand community presence.

Qualifications

College degree or some college is required.
Current Funeral Director license required.
At least 5 years' management experience.
Ability to analyze financial reports to improve location performance.
Willingness to grow the business in a new market.
Able to read, write and speak English fluently.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Detail-oriented and able to work in a team.

Responsibilities

Oversee management of resources and day-to-day operations.
Develop financial plan and ensure yearly goals are met.
Analyze activities, costs, operations, and forecast progress toward goals.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws for cemetery, cemetery sales, crematory, and funeral home.
Build relationships with suppliers to add value to client families.
Ensure all operation permits are current and filed timely.
Monitor financial results to meet or exceed standards.
Prepare and manage capital requests and expenditures.
Provide coaching and development to department heads and staff.
Conduct family surveys and follow-up calls.
Inspect facilities to maintain standards.
Develop and implement community marketing plans.
Sponsor on-site community events.
Develop relationships with community leaders.
Assist reports with goal-setting.
Encourage new service offerings.
Other duties as assigned.
