You will contribute to fundamental and applied research on polybenzimidazole membranes, exploring scalable platforms such as hollow fibers and thin films while gaining hands-on experience in synthesis, processing, and gas separation characterization.

Qualifications

• Laboratory experience in a research environment.
• Demonstrated technical excellence with publications or presentations.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team or independently.
• Ability to plan and meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop polybenzimidazole and PBI-derived carbon membrane sieves with tailored gas transport.
• Conduct synthesis, processing, and characterization of membrane materials.
• Perform gas permeation evaluation and electro-mechanical testing as needed.
• Utilize wet chemistry, pyrolysis, fiber spinning and related methods.
• Translate laboratory findings to actionable membrane platforms.
