Voices for Progress is seeking a National Membership Director to lead the Membership Department in fostering community among members and facilitating fundraising efforts. The role emphasizes recruiting major donors and engaging members in advocacy and programming, all while working collaboratively with a remote team. Ideal candidates will have strong fundraising experience and a passion for social justice.
Voices for Progress (V4P) galvanizes the advocacy of business leaders, entrepreneurs, philanthropists, and other prominent individuals who unite to protect our climate, strengthen our democracy, and ensure economic and social justice for all. The National Membership Director leads the Membership Department in its efforts to engage members in advocacy and other programming; build a sense of community among members; and raise funds from members and other sources. A major focus of the National Membership Director’s time is recruiting politically connected major donors to join V4P and make an annual contribution. The National Membership Director is an exempt position. Exempt employees are expected to work the appropriate and necessary time in order to complete key assignments and related tasks on schedule.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
While performing responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to follow instructions. The employee is required to sit and use their hands and fingers, to handle and to manipulate keys on a keyboard. The employee may be required to sit or stand for an extended period of time. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, or crouch. Work is generally sedentary in the office. The employee is required to travel frequently by air, train, car, public transportation, or by foot for meetings.

The employee is usually subject to inside environmental conditions. No hazardous or other unpleasant conditions caused by dust or other possible hazards. Office access may be through elevators. Office space has a mix of private and common offices with wide aisles between.
