Job summary

Treasure Valley Family YMCA in Boise, ID, is seeking a talented Membership Director to oversee the overall operation of the membership department within Branch and Association parameters.

The role leads staff and volunteers, manages budgets, develops programs, and ensures exceptional member experience. This full-time position offers a 9:00am-5:00pm schedule with some weekends and evenings based on leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum three years of experience in related field.
• Strong skills in human relations, budgeting and fiscal management.
• Excellent communication skills with staff and members.
• Ability to address emergencies and make solid decisions.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff, including hiring, onboarding, role-modeling, and coaching.
• Recruit and manage volunteers as needed per current Volunteer Policies and Guidelines.
• Work closely with Membership staff to ensure department operations are consistent with approved Leading Practices.
• Direct overall efforts to contact all new members and to get new members involved in programs, groups, clubs, events, etc.
• Expand existing membership activities and establish new activities in accordance with strategic and operating plans.
• Respond to member and community inquiries and complaints in a timely manner.
• Develop and monitor membership budget to meet fiscal objectives.
• Manage all aspects of membership efforts to ensure budget, quality and safety expectations are met.
