Job description

WIN Warehouse is seeking a dynamic Membership Development Manager to lead the growth and engagement of our nonprofit member network. You will be the "face" of our organization, charged with aggressively scaling our network and turning prospective leads into lifelong mission partners.

Our Impact

At WIN Warehouse, we equip nonprofits with essential goods that enable them to serve their communities more effectively. In this role, your work directly connects organizations to critical resources—expanding their reach, strengthening their programs, and increasing their impact.

Our Values

At WIN, how we work matters just as much as what we do. We are committed to:

  • Safety – Maintaining a safe, organized, and secure environment for our team and operations
  • Relationships – Building strong, respectful, and lasting connections with members, partners, and teammates
  • Efficiency – Continuously improving processes to maximize impact and steward resources responsibly
About the Role

As the primary point of contact for prospective, new, and lapsed nonprofit members, you will guide organizations from initial outreach through onboarding and their first donation order—ensuring a seamless and positive experience every step of the way.

This role is a multifaceted position combining business development (approx. 70%), mission-focused storytelling (approx. 20%), and community engagement (approx. 10%). You will guide new members from initial outreach through their first donation order, ensuring they understand how WIN’s resources amplify their impact.

This position reports to the Vice President of Programs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Membership Growth & Pipeline Management (70% Focus)

  • Proactive Outreach: Execute consistent cold and warm outreach via phone, email, and social media to identify and engage prospective nonprofit members.
  • Lifecycle Management: Manage the entire membership experience—from application and compliance to onboarding and placing the first donation order.
  • Consultative Relationship Building: Act as a trusted resource, helping nonprofits understand how WIN’s inventory can amplify their specific community impact.
  • Continuous Improvement: Collaborate to refine outreach strategies and improve membership processes.
  • CRM Mastery: Maintain meticulous records in our Hubspot CRM and order management systems to ensure data integrity and efficient member tracking.

2. Strategic Marketing & Storytelling (20% Focus)

  • Content Creation: Gather and author "Member Success Stories," donation spotlights, and newsletter content to build brand authority and showcase member impact.
  • Growth Levers: Leverage social media and content marketing as strategic tools to generate high-quality leads and build brand authority.
  • Impact Reporting: Contribute written content that highlights how WIN's work directly helps nonprofits expand their reach in the community.

3. Community Engagement & Strategic Events (10% Focus)

  • Brand Ambassador: Represent WIN Warehouse at targeted community events, networking opportunities, and nonprofit forums.
  • Exhibiting & Hosting: Lead WIN’s presence at exhibitions and trade shows. As the role grows, you may take the lead in hosting WIN-sponsored events designed to bring potential partners together to learn about our mission.

4. Operational Excellence & Safety

  • Product Familiarity: Develop a working knowledge of WIN’s extensive and diverse product inventory.
  • On-Site Safety: Maintain an organized and safe workspace, adhering to physical safety standards and ensuring member data privacy.
  • Cross-Functional Support: Be willing to cross-train in other operational areas as opportunities permit to support the overall mission.
What Success Looks Like in 90 Days

Within your first 90 days, you will:

  • Operational Proficiency: Become proficient in our CRM (Hubspot) and order management systems while establishing a consistent outreach workflow.
  • Execution: Begin converting leads into approved members and successfully guiding them through their first donation order.
  • Narrative Building:Create consistent content for social media and storytelling efforts that highlight member impact.
Performance Expectations & Incentives

This role includes the opportunity for performance-based bonuses tied to key outcomes, including:

  • Monthly outreach activity targets (calls, emails, and contacts made)
  • New member conversions
  • Member re-engagement

Clear goals and expectations are established to support your success and growth in the role.

Qualifications & Competencies
  • Experience: 2+ years in development or sales with a track record of meeting or exceeding growth targets.
  • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; comfortable engaging stakeholders across all levels of a nonprofit.
  • Technical Aptitude: Proficiency with Windows-based systems and the ability to master Hubspot CRM and order management tools.
  • Mindset: An infectious "can-do" attitude, mission-alignment, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary: $52,500 annually
  • Performance Bonus: Up to $5,000 in the first full year of service, tied to outreach targets and member conversions.
