Job summary

The YMCA of Northwest North Carolina is seeking a Part-Time Wellness Coach at the Stokes Family YMCA in King, NC to support member wellness, promote healthy lifestyle habits, and provide guidance during uFit sessions. You will help members engage with the wellness center and maintain a safe, inviting environment.

Opening shifts include early mornings and evenings; you will collaborate with the Member Experience Representative to smooth the new member journey and encourage ongoing participation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred (exercise science or related field).
• Excellent customer service skills and strong member engagement abilities.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Current certification in CPR/First Aid/AED or obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform new member uFit sessions per YMCA protocol.
• Instruct members in training procedures and exercise techniques.
• Provide supervision and encouragement during sessions and track progress.
• Assist members with equipment and answer questions while maintaining safety.
• Collaborate with the Member Experience Representative to create a welcoming connection.
