Job summary

Saltbox in Torrance, CA is seeking a part-time Member Specialist to support fulfillment, shipping, and on-site member hospitality. This fast-paced, physical role involves unloading containers, kitting, and ensuring smooth operations for small business tenants.

You will interact with Members, assist with service requests, and help maintain a clean, organized space. Prior logistics or customer-facing experience is a plus, and lifting up to 50 lbs is required with accommodations available.

Responsibilities

• Fulfillment & Logistics Support: Receive, unload, and organize inventory and delivery items.
• Fulfillment & Logistics Support: Pick, pack, and ship orders accurately and efficiently.
• Fulfillment & Logistics Support: Assist with inventory audits, returns processing, and kitting.
• Fulfillment & Logistics Support: Track inbound/outbound shipments and elevate issues as needed.
• Building & Facilities: Open and close the building per operational checklists.

What You’ll Do

As a Member Specialist, you'll wear many hats—from fulfillment and shipping to member hospitality and building upkeep. This isn’t a traditional warehouse job. It's a fast-paced, physical, and member-facing role where you’ll help real small business owners thrive every day.

Whether you're unloading a container, jumping into a kitting project, or answering a service request, you'll be a vital part of our Elastic Workforce (e-Force), supporting logistics needs and operational excellence in your market.

Responsibilities

Fulfillment & Logistics Support

• Receive, unload, and organize inventory and delivery items.
• Pick, pack, and ship orders accurately and efficiently.
• Assist with inventory audits, returns processing, and kitting.
• Track inbound/outbound shipments and elevate issues as needed.

Building & Facilities

• Open and close the building following operational checklists.
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness across warehouse, kitchen, and shared spaces.
• Monitor the delivery dock and ensure smooth handoffs with drivers.
• Perform daily walkthroughs to identify and resolve facility issues.

Member Support

• Offer hands-on support with logistics tasks and suite upkeep.
• Engage with Members on the floor—answering questions and providing help.
• Triage member service requests and elevate when needed.
• Be an on-site ambassador for the Saltbox brand and experience.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Saltbox is excited to offer an hourly position with a base pay range of $18 - $19, depending on your location (Hours:10am-3pm, Monday-Friday is the base availability. This will change on needs of the business/if more hours are available).
