Job summary

TowneBank is seeking a friendly teller at our Southern Shores branch to handle monetary transactions for members and promote TowneBank products. You will balance the cash drawer daily and provide receipts, while delivering excellent service in person, by phone or email.

Ideal candidates have cash handling and customer service experience, with familiarity in Outlook/Excel/Word and basic bank software. Join a collaborative team and support our community-focused approach.

Qualifications

• One year cash handling and customer service experience with a single employer and/or six months bank teller experience.
• Experience using Outlook, Excel, Word and other Microsoft applications. Bank software experience a plus.
• Flexibility to learn and grow as new systems or processes emerge.
• Experience operating a cash register with ability to balance cash drawer daily.
• Ability to accurately process monetary transactions in a timely fashion.
• Proven ability to provide excellent member service in person, on the phone, and by email.
• Ability to work as an integral team player.
• Punctuality and dependability are a must.

Responsibilities

• Handle monetary transactions for members and provide receipts.

• Adhere to AML/BSA and other applicable laws and regulations.
