We’re Excel Fitness, a Planet Fitness franchise group based out of Austin, TX, with 130+ clubs and growing! Since 2016, we have expanded from 16 locations in TX to over 90 in 6 states, including Austin, Dallas, Raleigh, Tulsa, and NW Arkansas. We are opening new clubs each year, offering opportunities to build a great career. Many of our senior managers started at the front desk and have progressed to earning salaries starting at $42k as a GM, $60k as a Regional Manager (responsible for 5-10 locations), and over $100k as a Regional Director overseeing 10+ locations.

All of our Team Players (employees) begin at the front desk, responsible for creating a positive member experience through excellent customer service and cleanliness.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Provide an exceptional customer service experience.
2. Check members into the system.
3. Take prospective members on tours and assist with new account sign-ups.
4. Update members’ accounts as needed.
5. Respond to member questions and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating to management when necessary.
6. Perform detailed cleaning in all areas of the facility.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and co-workers.
• Positive mental attitude.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Punctuality and reliability are essential.
• Diplomacy and appropriate behavior in all interactions.
• High School diploma/GED required.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Physical Demands

• Standing and walking throughout the shift.
• Talking in person and on the phone during the shift.
• Occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Handling commercial cleaning products.
• Following strict safety and cleaning protocols, including mask-wearing and social distancing.
