MEMBER SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE - Monday-Friday 6am-12:30pm - JOB DESCRIPTION

FLSA Status:
Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Reports to: General Manager

Special Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR/AED Certification within time frames required by company and maintain physical ability to perform CPR/AED in the event of a medical emergency.
  • Must obtain Tanning Certification within time frame required by company.


SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

The Member Services Representative be responsible for creating a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members and guests.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Greet members, prospective members and guests, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Handle all front desk related activities including:
    • Answering phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with a variety of questions.
    • Checking members into the system.
    • New member sign-up.
    • Taking prospective members on tours.
  • Facilitate needed updates to member’s accounts.
  • Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner and elevate to Assistant Manager or Club Manager as needed.
  • Perform cleaning duties as required to maintain cleanliness of the club
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR/AED Certification within time frames required by company and maintain physical ability to perform CPR/AED in the event of a medical emergency
  • Must obtain Tanning Certification within time frame required by company.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • Exceptional customer service skills; ability to interact in a positive and professional way with members and co-workers, exceeding the members expectations.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR/AED Certification within time frames required by company and maintain physical ability to perform CPR/AED in the event of a medical emergency.
  • Must obtain Tanning Certification within time frame required by company.
  • A passion for fitness and health
  • Upbeat, professional and positive attitude
  • Punctuality and reliability and must.
  • Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language.
  • Hard working, enthusiastic and energetic
  • High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older


PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT

PHYSICAL: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to walk and stand, for prolonged periods of time; to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and make repetitive hand movement in the performance of daily duties; occasionally to lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate amount of weight (up to 50lbs); and to verbally communicate in person or on the phone to exchange information. Must maintain physical ability to administer CPR in the event of medical emergency.

Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
