Job summary

Ephraim McDowell Health, Inc. seeks a friendly Member Services Representative for the McDowell Wellness Center on a PRN, 2nd shift basis.

The role delivers clerical support, front desk duties, member check-ins, tours, and enrollment processing, while promoting the center's health and fitness programs and ensuring accurate accounts and payments. You will assist with childcare services, supervise the Children's Activity Center, and help implement fitness and educational activities for members'

Qualifications

One (1) year clerical experience/computer knowledge.
Fitness exposure preferred.
Experience as a child care provider preferred.

Responsibilities

Executes scheduling of member and patient assessment, fitness and nutrition counseling sessions.
Maintains appropriate inventory as defined by department protocol for such areas as office supplies, kitchen supplies, children’s activity supplies, retail supplies.
Performs daily operations of the front desk.
a. Open and closing duties as assigned.
b. Handle all member accounts.
c. Input and update all account information and payments.
d. Receive phone calls concerning facility information and accounts.
e. Meet and greet prospective members, giving tours and answering questions.
f. Perform signup duties of new members.
g. Take party applications and deposits for pool and facility.
h. Take registration and payments for all specialty classes.
i. Handle retail sales and taxable items.
Provides supervision and care of children in the Children’s Activity Center.
Handle payments for Children’s Activity Center.
Maintains a clean, safe, friendly and fun environment for children.
Assists in the development of games and educational activities for children.

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the general direction of the Director, the Member Services Representative functions as clerical support and customer representative, provides child care, fitness programming and educational activities for the children of our members and guests. Provides for the sale and delivery of health and fitness services to our customers. Demonstrates commitment to professional accountability and growth to maintain and expand knowledge and skills. Contributes to the achievement of the mission and philosophy of the Organization. Contributes to the effective operations of the Organization by demonstrating dependability in job performance. WORKING CONDITIONS, HAZARDS, AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

The task of this job does not involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues but employment may require performing supplemental tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues. Must be able to move or position 25 lbs. independently.

CONTACTS WITH OTHERS:

Interacts with customers, children, Associates, physicians and referring agencies on a routine basis.

EQUIPMENT USED/SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

Maintains knowledge of all appropriate exercise equipment and supplies.

Experience Required

One (1) year clerical experience/computer knowledge. Fitness exposure preferred. Experience as a child care provider preferred.

Education Required

High School graduate or equivalent required.

Certification Required

CPR and First Aid certification current.
