Job summary

YMCA of the Sandhills in Cameron, NC is seeking a part-time Member Services Representative to deliver welcoming, professional service to members and guests. You will sell memberships, update accounts, register for programs, and help foster a sense of belonging within the YMCA.

You will also conduct tours, resolve membership concerns, maintain the lobby, and participate in required trainings. Prior customer service or sales experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 18.
• Customer service, sales or administrative experience preferred.
• Knowledge of computers and point-of-sale systems.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Friendly and outgoing personality.
• First Aid, CPR PRO and AED within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to members, guests and program participants in person and on the phone.
• Give guided tours, sell memberships, update member accounts and register for programs.
• Build relationships with members and help connect them with the YMCA community.
• Handle membership concerns and inform supervisor of unresolved issues.
• Monitor the facility and perform light cleaning as needed.
• Check member visits to ensure memberships are valid.
• Attend staff meetings and required training/certifications.
• Audit membership files during shift and maintain a tidy workspace.
• Support other duties as assigned.

Perform other duties as assigned.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1. Provide excellent customer service to members, guests, and program participants in the branch and on the phone, contributing to member retention and a sense of belonging.2. Uphold a professional attitude and appearance while at the facility.3. Provide guided tours, sell memberships, update member accounts, and register for programs, all with a high level of detail and accuracy,4. Build relationships with members; help members connect with one another and to the YMCA.5. Handle and resolve membership concerns and inform supervisor of unusual situations or unresolved issues. Inquire further into conversations for details related to a situation.6. Monitor the facility and light cleaning as needed; to include but not limited to, empty trash cans, refill wipes, clean Welcome Center area, etc.7. Check member visits to Daxko to ensure memberships are still valid.8. Attend all staff meetings and certifications/ training as directed,9. Audit membership files during shift.10.
