Job summary

Crunch Fitness in Schaumburg, IL is seeking a friendly Member Services Representative to welcome members, conduct personalized club tours, explain membership options, and confidently ask for the sale.

This hands-on role blends sales, member service, and front-desk duties: check-ins, payments, lead follow-up, and daily cleaning. CPR certification within 30 days is required; schedule may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Sales or customer service experience preferred in fitness, retail, hospitality, or another service environment.
• Comfortable initiating conversations and following up with prospects toward sales goals.
• Friendly, professional and able to verbally communicate effectively with members and teammates.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn membership, sales and payment systems.
• Dependable, attentive to detail and able to balance member service, sales and cleaning responsibilities.
• Availability to work the posted schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcome members and guests, complete check-ins and address account alerts.
• Conduct personalized club tours, explain membership options and ask for the sale.
• Achieve membership sales goals through prospect follow-up, referrals and promotions.
• Explain club amenities, promote upgrades and connect members with personal training and other offerings.
• Process membership agreements, payments and purchases accurately while following cash handling procedures.
• Record lead information and follow-up activity in company systems.
• Answer calls professionally, respond to member questions and resolve concerns.
• Support member onboarding, engagement and retention through helpful service and timely follow-up.
• Complete daily cleaning and sanitizing duties across front-desk, equipment and club areas.
• Follow opening/closing and shift checklists; report safety concerns and maintenance needs promptly.
• Participate in training, role-playing and coaching, applying feedback to improve sales and service performance.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.

Physical Requirements

Work involves prolonged standing and walking, talking, listening, computer use, bending, reaching, cleaning and sanitizing, and lifting or moving items up to 50 pounds. The club is an active fitness environment with varying noise levels.

Reporting Structure

Reports to the General Manager, with daily direction and support from the Assistant General Manager and designated club leadership.
