Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a friendly cashier to greet members, scan items, process payments, and help maintain a clean front-end area. You will deliver quick, courteous service while promoting memberships and store promotions.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills are preferred.
• Prior cashier or sales experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Exhibits clear understanding of all BJ’s Membership options, including renewals and BJ’s Loyalty programs.
• Offers all appropriate membership products such as renewal options and Rewards redemption.
• Provides a high level of customer service to Members and checks Members out in a timely manner.
• Scans club merchandise through a point-of-sale system to ensure accurate counts and totals; assists at self-checkout stations.
• Collects payments via cash, check, or other methods and issues receipts.
• Stays up to date on promotions and discounts; assists in maintaining front-line cleanliness.
