Job summary

Power Wellness is seeking a Part-time Member Services Associate at West Wood Health & Fitness Center in Pewaukee, WI. You will handle desk operations, sales of memberships and services, and appointment scheduling using the Compete system.

The role requires excellent interpersonal skills, basic computer proficiency, and CPR/AED certification within 90 days of hire. You should be able to stand for long shifts and work weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year certificate from college or technical school preferred.
• Minimum 6 months of related experience or training preferred.
• 2-3 years of sales, reception and computer skills preferred.
• CPR/AED certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work with members in a positive, service-based manner.
• Ability to multi-task and maintain a controlled and professional demeanor.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee service desk operations including opening/closing, phones, POS transactions, guest check-ins, and fee payments.
• Promote and sell memberships and ancillary services including personal training, massage therapy, and nutrition programs.
• Schedule all appointments via core business software (Compete) and manage reminders/cancellations.
• Balance drawers and process payments, understanding credit card and check policies.
• Enroll members via contracts, explain details, collect signatures and payments, and provide handbooks.
• Communicate with other departments via radio as needed.
• Aim to meet satisfaction metrics such as Secret Shops and Member Surveys.
• Maintain an average of 5 working shifts per month and stand for 3-6 hours per shift.

Position Title: Member Services Associate
Location: West Wood Health & Fitness Center
Type: Part-time, Opening (4:45am-9am), Weekends as Needed

We provide a comprehensive menu of services to plan, create, develop and manage an inviting, customized, and economically self-sustaining fitness and wellness center.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Oversee interactions at the service desk including opening and closing procedures, answer phones, process point-of-sale transactions, register guest and fee payments, process student and college guest passes, check in guests/members for all scheduled appointments, accept member feedback, handle lost and found items, and provide information about scheduled activities and events including sign up and applicable fees.
2. Promote and effectively sell memberships and all ancillary services included but not limited to personal training, massage therapy, medically-integrated programs, and nutrition services.
3. Schedule all appointments via core business software (Compete), including reminder phone calls, cancellations and notifying associates of appointments per policy.
4. Apply knowledge of all opening and closing procedures, including balancing drawers from daily sales, understanding credit card and check policies, and use of cash drawer.
5. Enroll members via contract, explain membership details, obtain signatures and payments, and provide member handbook.
6. Communicate effectively with all departments via radio as needed.
7. Work toward achieving established satisfaction metrics such as Secret Shops and Member Survey scores as it relates to member and guest satisfaction.
8. Maintain an average of 5 working shifts per month to ensure ability to perform job.
9. Must be able to stand for length of shift (generally 3-6 hours at a time).
10. Other duties as assigned.
