Function Description

Processes a variety of financial transactions and member services in lobby and drive-up settings efficiently and professionally, while delivering exceptional service. Maintains thorough knowledge of all credit union products and services, evaluates sales opportunities, and recommends or offers appropriate products. Establishes new accounts and supports loan applications and closings.

Organizational Relationships

Reports to: Branch Manager

Contacts include: Credit Union members, their employers, officials, other branches/departments, vendors, and external financial service providers.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • At least six months of cash handling experience; sales or customer service experience preferred
  • Experience with Bellco or in financial services preferred; lending experience is a plus
Skills
  • Positive interaction and communication skills in person, email, and phone
  • Efficient teller operations with high balancing accuracy (85% or higher)
  • Data entry and record maintenance accuracy
  • Sales and product recommendation abilities
  • Notary services capability
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
Equipment

Includes online terminals, calculators, copiers, fax, telephone, cash recycler, printers, ATMs, card printers, and security alarms.

Essential Functions
  • Provide excellent member experiences and suggest process or technology improvements
  • Communicate positively with members in person and via phone
  • Adhere to Bellco’s service standards and core values
  • Explain and promote products, deepen member relationships, and refer to specialists as needed
  • Comply with regulations, procedures, and audit standards
  • Support branch goals and priorities
  • Navigate systems like TELLERphone, online banking, core system (DNA), and shared branching
  • Assist members with account openings, maintenance, and transactions including wire transfers, loan applications, and account updates
  • Handle digital appointments and support online banking setup
  • Assist with POA requests, notary services, and branch operations
  • Maintain punctual attendance
Working Conditions

Requires physical ability to stand for extended periods. Hours or location may change based on business needs.
