Role and Requirements
  • Monday through Saturday Availability Required.
  • Full Time - 40 Hours Per Week

The primary responsibility of a Member Service Representative is to assist members in meeting routine financial goals while exceeding their expectations for service. Responsibilities include performing routine account transactions, cross-selling products and services to fulfill members' financial needs, and researching and resolving account questions and concerns.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
  • Receive and process member's financial transactions.
  • Cross-sell deposit, loan, and convenience services appropriate to each member.
  • Research member account questions and concerns using problem-solving skills.
  • Perform routine daily, weekly, and monthly tasks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Performance Measurements
  • Provide friendly, professional, accurate, and personal service to all members and guests.
  • Complete member transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan and VISA payments, and more.
  • Fulfilling financial needs and uncover unstated needs through directed conversations.
  • Maintain cash drawer limits, verify and balance cash drawers, and handle other cash management tasks.
  • Resolve questions and concerns, research inquiries, and troubleshoot issues promptly and accurately.
  • Adhere to policies, procedures, and guidelines set by the credit union.
  • Follow proper procedures for dual control and security.
  • Complete miscellaneous tasks such as typing, filing, and answering phones.
  • Maintain dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Participate in training and professional development activities.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • 1-3 years of experience in customer service, banking, or related fields.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for communicating with members.
  • Ability to operate a computer and perform basic mathematical calculations.
Work Environment
  • Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
  • State of Pennsylvania residency required.
