Job description

Join to apply for the Member Service Consultant Teller role at Call Federal Credit Union.

Position Summary: Serve as a liaison between members and the credit union by accurately performing transactions, providing information, and referring potential prospects to appropriate staff.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure exceptional service to all external and internal members to foster and capture the credit union brand, consistently delivering on our brand promise, vision, and mission statements.
  2. Educate members regarding all Call Federal products and services in a consistent sales environment.
  3. Use knowledge of specific products, services, or other expertise to answer member inquiries via face-to-face, telephone, or email.
  4. Provide prompt, efficient, accurate information and basic teller transactions, adhering to Call Federal check cashing and deposit authority limits.
  5. Verify important information including endorsements, dates, and identification, to cash or deposit checks and pay out funds.
  6. Open accounts for existing members.
  7. Provide services such as Visa gift cards and Visa cash advances.
  8. Respond to member requests, problems, or complaints and direct them to appropriate staff for additional assistance.
  9. Order all electronic/digital services.
  10. Maintain accountability for all assets under your control, including cash drawer if applicable.
  11. Process check imaging through branch capture daily.
  12. Assist members with all member service forms.
  13. Uncover opportunities for member engagement, via in-person or outbound sales calls to achieve sales goals.
  14. Advocate and demonstrate the company brand.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Minimum of one year of cash handling experience.
  3. Minimum of one year of retail experience.
  4. Flexible schedule availability including evenings and weekends.
  5. Excellent interpersonal skills.
  6. Self-motivated; capable of working independently and in a team.
  7. Proactive in adding value to members and the credit union.
  8. Positive, optimistic, trustworthy, and honest.
  9. Attention to detail.
  10. Acceptable background check including credit, criminal, and insurance verification.
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements:

This position requires working indoors in a typical office environment, with the ability to visit other locations, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate light to medium weights (1-25 pounds). Good hand-eye coordination, dexterity, and visual acuity are required.
